The Simpson s were created by the cartoonist Matt Groening in 1987. At first it was a 30-second spot for The Tracy Ullman Show on FOX. A total of 48 shorts were produced over the first three seasons, and Bart is the only character who appeared in all 48. The response to the spots was positive so, that FOX made a half-hour Christmas special on Dec. 17, 1989. Since Jan. 14, 1990 The Simpson s is a regular TV-Show. The Simpson s is registered in the Guinness Book of Records for the longest animated series in the television history. There are more than 200 episodes. The show s 100th episode was aired in April 1994, the 200th in May 1998. Nancy Cartwright and Sandra Schwittau are the English and German voice for bart who is the eldest child in the Simpson s family.

He attends Springfield Elementary school where he is in the fourth grade. Homework and studying are not a priority for him.

His first words as a baby were AYE, CARUMBA! Bart is the trouble maker of the family.

At heart (willingly), he s just a good kid with a few bad ideas, a couple of really bad ideas and one or two that are still being reviewed by the Springfield district attorney. Bart s hobbies are skateboarding, graffiti and watching Krusty and the Itchy and Scratchy Show.

Marge Simpson is a happy homemaker and mother of three. Her prides and joys are Bart (her special little guy), Lisa and Maggie.
